    No HD-DVD over component cables.

    What if you use a pretty good receiver as a video switch? Like a Denon AVR3806. It can supposedly convert HDMI to Component (never tried it though). What then? Will it still cut the resolution to a quarter? (don't know if the 3806 supports HDCP over HDMI though).

    You are aware that running 4 512MB modules hurt the performance on a Athlon64 setup on account of them using a 2T command rate right? I hope you'll switch to using a FX60 and 2x1GB modules in the future (a FX57 would be good too). Some games support dualcore now (Quake4, CoD2)..
