AFAIK, Dell Display Manager only works with DP 1.1 (option in OSD). But DP 1.2 is required in order to daisy chain these monitors. It's all about trade-offs these days.

Have you guys encountered any problems with the "No Cable" message, when your computer is turned off or in sleep/standby mode?

Yeah, I know. But CYB34 has two P2414Hs.

engine You definitely got a defective calibration report. As for the monitor itself, it''s hard to tell. CYB34 Have you tried this:

hbfs I'm glad that you finally got a monitor that matches your another monitor right out of the box. I just remembered, though, that some units have this strange dependence related to the Contrast setting in OSD. If you still have that first (defective?) replacement monitor with you, then you...

First of all, make sure that you're getting a full color range. Limited color range sometimes screws up color temp as well. When you switch to higher (then 6500K) color temp values your screen should look bluish. The higher the value the more cold and bluish it should get, eliminating all "warm"...

arkk There is a very simple and easy way to quickly check subpixel layout of any monitor: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/subpixel.php But, I don't have U2414H at my possession, so can't say anything about the pixel layout of this particular monitor.

Usually the so called "yellow tint" is nothing but a bit lower color temperature than the target 6500K. You can easily rectify it by switching to Custom Color preset mode and playing with RGB color channels.

Alright, I'll try to sum up everything that is known to date about the limited color signal issue. Q: Is there a way to objectively test whether one is getting a correct color signal or not? A: It depends on the monitor as some perform quite oddly on the below tests even with the correct...

I'm not sure how you can check this as I never had a monitor with this issue. Moreover, I'm not sure if this problem even occurs with Intel GPUs, especially in OSX. It's definitely present with Nvidia GPUs in Windos though. But the whole fact that your U2414H is detected as a TV makes me think...

And it most likely outputs a limited RGB range (16-235). As mention in the PC Monitors review, this monitor is treated by the system like a TV when connected not only via HDMI but also via DP. This might be a deal breaker for me.

Deredox There's no way to fix HDMI color range issue through official tools from Nvidia. At least with the latest drivers. You'll have to use this tool in order to send a full RGB color range via HDMI. There's only two buttons. I guess you'll figure out which one to press.

Your best bet would probably be to try all possible for this monitor and your video card connection types (DVI-HDMI, HDMI-HDMI, DP-DP, DP-mDP etc.). If that doesn't help, you might wanna try to do some by eye calibration in "Custom color" preset mode.

    Dell U2414h

It probably uses system default profile. You might wanna try to install profile from the bundled CD, but i doubt that it would help. No, that's an input color space. You don't wanna change that. Just leave it on RGB. I was suggesting you to switch to an sRGB preset mode. What input source are...
