Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The latest word is that the final batch number is 465016. Currently I'm seeing work from batches 459XXX. (ex: ZIKA_ 000459707_ x5kqr_ NS5met_ s3_ 0140_ 0) They are not distributed completely linearly, so keep trying if you see batches 465XXX.
I imagine we'll see temporary outages between...
FWIW, I generally see about 300-500 MB in use per CEP2 unit. (That's no guarantee it won't ever be higher.)
Speaking of temps, while I haven't tested all work, I have observed HCC to run cooler than most other projects. The Malaria and Leishmaniasis projects run hotter for me - closer to...
You should see about a 25% increase in work and points with HT enabled. Just keep an eye on your temps. But if this has folded with HT on, then you've probably already sorted out your cooling.
The Clean Energy Project (CEP2) has recently been made a single redundancy project along with FAAH and HFCC mentioned by AgrFan. I run up to three of these at a time on a non-HT quad with 8GB of memory. Linux is more efficient than Windows for these. The upload per completed unit is about...
It will take some work to make up ground here. We trail the next spot by about 168,000,000. Our best month on record was September of this year with about 75,000,000. Of the eight teams ahead, we are only outpacing two, neither of which will be caught in a year at current rates. On the plus...
I thought July was a really kicking month.
I'm not trying to step on Sazan's toes - besides, this information probably won't be as useful - but here's a quick look at some Vault stats.
Ten Projects to make up the most Vault ground:
Available...
[H] now has the highest yoyo output in the past week, and that's without the extra D coming online and fully up to speed. (Five new users from Nov 4 to now and plenty of room for more!)
Here's a graph which shows [H] vs the current (soon to be former) average production champ. Notice the...
I'm glad I could help. Those points needed a good home anyway. ;) I've started a few clients sharing time on a quad, hopefully I can eventually help pull within striking distance of a few more teams.
I've been thinking about all these non-boinc projects which need cycles. Each one requires...
You gotta love the activity and enthusiasm here.
If people consider Distributed Particle Accelerator Design a worthy science, there are serious points to be gained there. It may take a bit to catch the next place team, but after that there's a group of them for passing, plus plenty of...
Tobit - That sounds like a good plan! Don't get me wrong, the Nvidia cards will still be good for RC5. An ATI board can just slap them around. I think a pair of 4890s would get your goal of 25K/day with room to spare.
metallicafan - I meant to put this in my first post. You can still...
metallicafan - There's a known issue with 64 bit quads and 64 bit Vista when running HPF2. (See WCG forum thread here). I'm not sure if it carries over to Win 7. Also, it seems that you're not alone in reporting a rash of errors lately. (See a few threads in the HPF2 forum).
To the horde...
