Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have used Asus, Gigabyte, MSI and Abit (no more) throughout my PC gaming years but settled on Asus in recent years. I just upgraded from a Hero VI to a Code XI and am very happy with the usual comprehensive features that the ROG Maximus brings to the table. OCing the i9-9900K was fairly easy...
Did anyone notice how smug Jensen was when he pointed at the frame rate chart and said "We are aware of that" when the screen showed the frame rate dropped after enabling DXR? He then went on to show the DLSS feature pushing ("boop") the frame rate back up again. The optimistic side of me tells...
I got the same findings after testing BFV on my GTX2080Ti rig - 3440x1440 at Ultra graphics @ DXR Medium gave me 70-80 fps which fluctuates downwards. I thought the saving grace from Jensen was his "boop" remark about DLSS pushing up the frame rates taken away by DXR so I'll wait and see if DICE...
I remember my ATI 4870X2 was so darn hot the picture label actually peeled off and curled outwards after using for some time. That was the last time I bought a GPU with the reference "one fan/blow outside the case" design. Glad that Nvidia's own cards now come with 2 fans but I'm not too sure...
I see frame rates cut in half (from 100s to 50s) when I enable DXR at Ultra in BFV. DXR at Medium was more acceptable at 70-80s but it fluctuates downwards.
Out of curiosity I examined water puddle reflections with DXR Off and i still see the trees/rocks reflected accurately as well as follow...
Thanks. Learnt something new. Its good to know that the GPU can offer hardware acceleration for playing movies as well. Especially useful for 4K movies although I don't have the software to play 4K movies.
By the way i just got BF5 at half price and couldnt wait to try out ray tracing. Just like to share my findings on my i7-4770K @ 4.2GHz/16 GB RAM/GTX 2080Ti/Win10 vers 1809 setup:
Framerates tested at the beginning of Story mode's "Under no flag" first "Follow Mason" level
DX11 (DXR disabled) ...
I am considered one of the dunce "side-graders" who went from 2x GTX 1080s SLI to a GTX 2080Ti. It was my first time getting a "Ti' series card as all along allamy rigs were using SLI (GTX 580/780/1080s x2) so I mistakenly thought 2x GTX 1080Tis = a GTX 2080Ti.
To make a long story short, I...
For me its always about the games - the software drives the hardware upgrade urge. I upgraded for the games all the time - Quake II, Halflife2, Doom 3, Far Cry, Crysis, Crysis 3, Witcher III... Just upgraded to 1080 SLI this year and that was followed by a deluge of game buying - Assassin's...
Guys playing games is no different from women watching Oprah or Dr Oz.. or doing online shopping, as if those activities are less sedentary than gaming. If any man is told to get his butt off gaming and get outside, he should tell her "Would you rather I go shoot some rabbits or booze at the...
I think its in the same class as listening to music or watching TV/movies at home. In fact, its a combination of both - both your eyes and ears gets entertained, and at least you're also fiddling with your keyboard and swiping your mouse lol. Neither of them can be considered as sports, not in...
I actually went to buy BO3 (at promo price) after finishing IW. Sad to say, the BO series seems to have consistently bad graphics compared to the run-of-the-mill annual COD refreshes, if I recall correctly they use a different game engine.. I don't know how to describe it, the environments just...
Yes, many years ago X80 denotes the flagship but now an X80 is a gimped version of the true flagship (Titan/Ti). If they already know the maximum potential of what their new GPU chip is capable of, why not push it as the flagship X80 out the door first (like they used to do) then follow up by...
There is a bright side to SLI.. all my previous CODs and BF games + the 3 Crysis games all supported SLI out of the box. Which was why I was puzzled to find COD-IW not supporting SLI at launch.
It's sad that AMD (ATI) has gone underdog status (except for some of their self-redeeming mid/budget...
