PROBLEM FIXED WITH CMOS RESET

Yeah. Im really not sure where to take it from here. Im on the phone with the zune at the moment...and its REALLY not helping.

It might be the MOBO, but that wouldnt explain why everything else works perfectly: [usb mouse, camera, printer, usb wireless adapter]. Argh, the frustration.

The odd thing is, is that the Zune software detects it, for the first couple second when i plug it in, the software pops up, its just that by the time it would load it, the zune disconnects again. Updated MOBO drivers, problem persists.

Ive uninstalled, and reinstalled, and followed all directions. Ive also reformatted. This has got to be something hardware related, im just not sure what.
