    SLI with different cards but same GPU?

    I belive so, but don't quote me on that. I know that it can even adjust between different clockspeeds as long as it is the same GPU (i.e. the OCed card gets a larger chunk to render and even out the process), so I would think that the brand makes no difference.

    It doesn't matter if one if faster than the other. SLi accounts for different speeds, and as such, the faster card will just be given a bit more to render so as to even the load. :cool:

    The GeForce 6600 and 6600GT are both 8 pipe cards, so there is nothing extra to unlock to make it a GT. The only difference is core/mem clock speeds. Most 6600's will hit 600MHz core (that of the GT) pretty well, but the 1GHz memory is hard to hit as the GT uses GDDR3 which allows for higher...
