I have an ASUS P4S8X that is running a 2.53Ghz. The Asus site tells me the P4-2.80 GHz (533 FSB, L2 cache:512KB) will run on my motherboard. I made a purchase at NewEgg and got a P4/2.8GHz 533M 478PIN/1MB RET, but I think this has a 1M L2 Cache. I have tried twice to put this on my Asus board...
