Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm just happy to read about the quietness of the stock cooler. I had one of the first run 8800GT's with the terrible stock cooling. Sounded like a hairdryer when it really got rolling.
Alright, I'll bite, but you guys are going to give me hell:

Imagine you didn't own the Xonar at all. Hook up front panel audio using onboard sound, and try to make it work.
-------------------------------------
The problem is either the sound card, the case wiring or user error.
If you can get the motherboard's onboard sound to work with your...
My only other suggestion is pop the Xonar out, and see if you can get the front panel connection stuff to work using the mobo's front panel hookup pin. That way you can at least isolate the problem to see if it's a problem with your case's front panel hookup or the xonar soundcard.
Yeah, I was able to get it to work. I had it plugged in using the HD Audio plug on my case (Coolermaster ATCS 840) This was all in Windows 7 64-bit using their latest drivers.
Just make sure you've got the latest drivers for whatever OS you're running from ASUS's website.
I just picked one of these up last week for my system rebuild and ran into the same problems.
First make sure you've got the latest drivers installed from Asus. After that from the Xonar control panel there is an up or down triangle that you can click which will open up the control panel even...
I own a Zalman CNPS 9700 that I'm planning to use for my new i5 socket 1156 build. Unfortunately it looks like I need to buy either the ZM-CS5B or ZM-CS5A to mount it on my new motherboard which has only 1156 mounting holes.
After googling away for the past few days I can't seem to find...
Here are the details from Arctic Cooling's website.
I'm also in the middle of installing the S1 on my 8800GT since the the stock fan didn't co-operate with my RivaTuner fan profiles and decided to go grind city on me.
These SB45's look pretty nice and I think I might pick some up also. I noticed that Koss also has an SB49 now as well. Spaceman, are you familiar with this model and how it stacks up against the 40 and the 45? From looking at the pictures it looks like there is a volume/mic control on the...
