Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I never heard that there is a wide Gamut tn panel. And there would not look the same because tn panel simply can not show the number of colors that PVA and IPS can.
Temperature which will best suit depends on the temperature of the room light. I have X-Rite Eye-One Display 2 calibrator and when set to 6500K it is too blue for my taste. Somehow it is best for me 5800-6000K.
An interesting display of the HP lp2475w color space triangle with 100% saturation and 85% color saturation. It's nice to see that triangle goes into sRGB space or at least close to it.
100% saturation
85% saturation
Of course that in idle still consumes power. Thing that I do is simply down the clock of gpu/memory in idle for 8800gts to 260/400. And when I play physx games I put clock on 650/1000MHz :D
In fact games on Win7 look much better than on xp. I do not know what they did in Microsoft, but the games have much deeper colors and more realistic than on win xp! I also have HP LP2475w.
in fact all you have to do is switch on scRGB and leave the rest to default
whether vista also supports wide gamut monitors as it is written here?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ScRGB_color_space
Hi all. I recently bought this moniotor and I'm very satisfied! Here's the color comparison with the TN samsung 225bw which is sRGB, of course :). I did not calibrate monitor. I just manually set colors. I think that colors are not too many expressed.
