    Gaming Evolved Question...

I'm pissed off that one set of my codes expired in April, when I bought my card in Feb. No warning, no, notification that you must use the codes by a certain date. Just expired. I gave up after dealing with the AMD folks who run the promotion, and XFX. Both were telling me to talk to the other...

    BuildLog: XGamerPC Corsair 760T "TriFireWater"

Looks good. Cant wait to see the final setup and delta T temps. I'm looking for something similar in terms of rad capacity with only 2x 290's myself.

    Crossfire 290x, one possibly overheating?

It sounds like you have the same layout as me. I had to ghetto rig a fan to blow into the feet of the cards. With the summer months coming, the idea of watercooling is sounding better and better

    Crossfire 290x, one possibly overheating?

How much space is separating both cards? More than likely it's the open air design of the coolers causing the overheating. The top card is blowing hot air into the back of the bottom card, and the hot air rises back into the top card.

What gpu company do you favor?

I don't think anyone is saying multi-gpu is perfect or doesn't come with limitations, but to state what the person before him said and claim there is no value is just absurd.

What gpu company do you favor?

LOL Thanks for the laugh! Back on topic, right now it's AMD. Last time it was Nvidia.

Post Your FEAR Performance Test Results Here

I should have mentioned. Whether it was 900p, 1080p, or 1440p, the results usually fell into those ranges. Correct on the Max settings part.

R9 290 Crossfire heat, what to do?

Open-air coolers will perform better the further spaced out they are from one another. If you have 3 PCIE slots, and if your case supports it, place card #1 in the top slot, and card#2 in slot 3. Otherwise, going reference or watercooling are your only real options.

VESA official announcement, AMD's Free-sync standard adopted for DisplayPort 1.2a

It'll be an uphill battle for sure. As some have said here, Nvidia needs to show some kind of significant benefit over Freesync/Adaptive-sync to justify the royalties, licensing, and actual hardware costs to implement Gsync..

    Maximus VI Formula...is this normal???

Yeah thats what happens to me too. If I make any kind of change that involves OCing, my system shuts off after clicking Save & Exit, then turns back on a few seconds later.

Best $50.00 soundcard that delivers 5.1 over spdif?

What's actually lighting up your DTS logo on your receiver is the DTS Core, which is embedded in the DTS-MA track. The DTS Core is encoded in a lossy format with 6 channels(5.1), basically the same as old DTS tracks found on DVDs It's not that you can't do 5.1 over SPDIF, its just that SPDIF...
