Whats the deal with the E6600?

I'm pretty sure those are Intel prices, not NewEggs. Intel does not lower their processor prices when they become obsolete, they replace them. They really don't want to sell them anymore, so there's no reason to drop the prices. Every once in a while Joe sixpack has an old processor die and...

    8800GT coolers....

Speedfan now has nVidia temp support, so you can program a MOBO header to be sensitive to video card temp.

anyone with knowledge of the qtouch products?

Yes, I agree. The one I saw was for dynamically turning off the reset. Adrenaline is right. If the chip is in Active High mode, Vss connected to Vt will turn off the auto reset. If it's in Active Low mode, Vdd connected to Vt turns off the auto reset.

anyone with knowledge of the qtouch products?

According to the datasheet. To override the auto off functionality you must have an external circuit that will apply a voltage pulse to reset the auto off counter. This means you will need another circuit that will pulse that line constantly to override the auto off functionality. Some type...

    Servos

That old development kit is not all that great. You would be better off spending $40.00 for the USB smart cable development kit from Mouser.com if you want the development board, or just $20.00 on the smart cable programmer and get a few chips and passives and a breadboard.

If you are going to just do this once and not go any further with this, just get a Basic Stamp or PICAXE, which is a PIC chip with an interpreter / operating system on it. It's simple to program, but it's expensive and limited in functionality. If you want to go further with...

    Phantom Gray P150

The headphones are great for gaming, not bad for movies, but I generally use my regular speakers for movies and music. They are definitely not that great for music.

    Phantom Gray P150

Thanks. Everything is still running fine and I've been very pleased with the case and the low noise levels. The headset is an Earforce HPA 5.1 from TurtleBeach. http://www.turtle-beach.com/site/products/earforce/hpa/

    Need some help...

A regular digital camera will work to see if the IR LED's are working. They are getting more IR filters, but still should show the LED's slightly purple when viewed.

"Hybrid" LED combining - Power + HD on a single LED

Not understanding where you are getting 2.2v and the original poster has mentioned he has tested and it's using switched ground rather than switched power, which is pretty common for low voltage switching.

"Hybrid" LED combining - Power + HD on a single LED

^^ That would work perfectly fine.

    Fan Filter Sensor?

Again, it won't work with a fan controller, and I have my doubts that fan speed will decrease enough for repeatably measurable results.

    Fan Filter Sensor?

Those are great ideas. Like mentioned before, though, you wouldn't be able to use a fan controller with the fan as the pressure would change with fan speed.

    Fan Filter Sensor?

Actually there are plenty of small pressure sensors which would be useful for that, but they still aren't that cheap at ~$20 to $30 USD each. That's a good idea. The only way I can think of doing it would be with a microcontroller and you would need to measure on and off light levels to...

can anyone identify this circuit board?

Just by the look of it and the potting compound IC, it looks like a uber cheap proprietary board. Possibly from a childrens toy. I doubt you will find anything on it. Sorry. It seems like you know what it does, what more do you want to know?
