Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just did the same thing just this last week going from an E6750 to the Q9550. My overall computing expereince has not changed, both seem to be evenly as fast. Benched both at their defaults, and the Q9550 will obviously be in the lead. Once you overclock you can really see a difference. The...
I'm running the same setup as you and I am 4hr+ Orthos stable @ 3.8Ghz. Tried to unlock the 4th core as well and could not even boot Windows, it will boot and tell me I have 4 cores but thats it. But I am liking this proc, though it's still slower then my E6750@4Ghz on a Asus P5E especially on...
Voted for leveling out, but wish for a better AMD.
Just put together AMD X720 BE with a Biostar 790GX 128. Running benchmarks and so far so good. No overclocking yet, but I know my 4th core can at least boot to windows xp so after all the stock benchmarks are done I'll start working on OC...
First Abit board was the KT7 and followed up witht he KT7A a month or so later, this got me into AMD till my E6750 just this year. I still have my NF7S and working like a champ. Currently running the AN78GS for my AMD @ 300 mhz fsb, and my just recently replaced IP35-E that worked fantastically...
Can the IP35 PRO reach 500mhz fsb? I have the IP35 with E6750 running 4ghz on 500fsb, but would like to get the Pro version for RAID. I feel getting the Pro will hamper my OC.
I'm on an Abit IP35-E and I'm at a stable 500mhz fsb 8x500mhz E6750 @1.48v. I'm pretty sure I can go further but I stopped at that speed cause my temps are at 40-45c at idle and 70c+ at load using a Thermalright 120. I am however 24/7 stable.
Just got the cpu and board (Abit IP35-E) this week. I am at 3.8Ghz (475x8) so far stable. Running 2x1 GB Crucial Ballistix at 950Mhz 5-5-5-12 T2. Had to up the vcore to 1.3+ something. I'm thinking of picking up 4GB (2x2GB) of 1066mhz ram so I won't be RAM limited. This is on a Thermalright 120.
Just setup this new rig of mine Abit IP35-E, E6750, 4GB Patriot ELK, XP, HD3870, and a Sil3114 RAID Card. I have two WD 250GB drives in RAID 0 and two more WD 250 GB Drives in standard mode.
I've done a quick benchmark using 3Dmark'01 :D 3Dmark'06, PCmark'02 :D PCmark'05 and HDTach. As far...
I bit at NewEgg for the IP35 and also picked up an E6750. First Intel combo since my Pentium 266. Been an AMD user since, till of course now. Hope I can see a difference from my current rig an AMD x2 5600+@3.1GHZ with an HD3870.
I should be getting my shipment this Friday!
