Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
That's good to know. I figured using the "good" card as the display monitor would probably fix my problem while getting crossfire performance. Although, I am worried that it works and in a few months the bad card dies and going back to a single card might be hard to get used to.
I did flash it back and pulled the clocks back. I actually tried to RMA the card when I got it because of a faulty stock fan. Once I went through Powercolor's tech support and nothing worked, they stopped answering my messages as soon as I said I wanted an RMA. Won't buy form them again.

There hasn't been any drop in performance and the artifacts only seem to show up in menus and not in 3D...
I tested it extensively last night. I ran benchmarks including Furmark, Stalker COP, Heaven and Crysis. Played a few games and performance is exactly where it should be with no artifacts. I wonder if the cooler that broke it is also helping to keep it stable with low temps.
Either way, my...
So I finally got a chance to take the card apart and take some photos of the actual damage.

Funny thing about that is the stock cooler fan was not working properly (ran at high speeds all the time) so I dealt with a Powercolor tech on the problem. Several emails were exchanged and when nothing worked, the second I mentioned wanting an RMA I haven't heard from Powercolor in over 3...
Actually I seated the ramsinks dead center and when I went to put the cooler on, the screw holes didn't line up. Apparently, the ramsinks need to be placed a little higher on the chip in order for the cooler to fit. When I took the ramsinks off to reseat them higher, I must have damaged the...
Somehow while installing some heatsinks on my Powercolor 6950 2GB I broke something on my board. What I broke off is circled in red on the image link below.
