Yeah, I just have 3 routers sitting around doing nothing so I hate to buy new equipment. Would something like this be sufficient?

I got a new airport for the N speed and the backup for the macbooks so I want to use that as my primary router now but it does not have enough ports(3) so I need to create a hub to connect more computers. So, instead of wasting money on a hub is it easy to turn my old wireless router into a hub?
Oh, I think my CPU is overclocked a little...I remember doing something to it a while ago so I'm pretty sure it's still overclocked. I'm thinking I will just get the 8800GT and see how well that plays. If it's still not what I want then I will get another. :-) I want this to be able to play...
Do you think I really need SLI, I mean, if it plays now with a crappy 7800GT wouldn't it play much better with one 8800GT? Obviously it would play much better with two but is it worth the $110 to get the second?

I really don't want new hardware, this computer hasn't been turned on for over six months since I use my Macbook for everything but games. I've...
It's been a while since I've upgraded and it's time. Here are my specs.

I'm using a Dell I got for free as an image server but it only has two SATA ports and I need more. My plan is to run RAID 5 with four 750's so I was going to get an SATA 4-port card and store them in an external incloser. What's a good four port card that works well with software raid? The dell...
I'm getting a "used" dell that has a pentium 4 650 3.40GHz in it but I currently have an AMD 64 X2 3800 overclocked. I'm trying to build the best setup with what I have, should I move my stuff over to the tell(video, HD's) or stick with my 3800? Just by pure number it appears that the Pentium...
I did this out the other day, a simple box was $215 without drives. It's a small box that can hold three drives so my plan was to boot off USB using FreeNas and have three drives in RAID 5. If you didn't want raid you could use 1-3 drives for up to 3TB of data. So, simple case...a complete NAS...
For a test I installed XP on my linux laptop last night and I was able to connect the USB printer in XP and print from every other computer in the house within about 15 minutes. So, if this works in Workstation I'm assuming it would work in vmware server as well as long as you can get...
So you think it would be easier to run vmware server on Windows(2003) and install linux as a VM on that? I've never install the server part, can you still use the host OS as usual with the server running so could I install the printer on the HOSt windows sever and share it off that having...
For what I'm doing I don't need a lot of power, basic backup, printer work and some simple perl scripts. She doesn't know Linux and she uses a Mac so when something doesn't work on the Mac she defaults to Windows. I've had a bitch of a time getting her damn mac to work with my printers so I...
