I have overclocked my CPU to 2.9. My memory is at 1866 and this is as fast as i can get. Is it something i am not trying?

I overclocked the computer and it is now running at 687MHZ. I will try a different set of memory modules tomorrow. I used these Patriot modules because they are quad channel. I will try the Micron Dimms tomorrow. Thanks

I just built this new rig. 2.7 GHZ Xeon E5-2680 8 Core 16 threads. I put 16GB Patriot 1600. But the memory is only running at 667. I try and bump it up and it hangs. The motherboard is a Quantumian X79. The Video Card is an Nvidia Quadro and i am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Any suggestions?
