Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have to agree completely here. The concept behind AC is not something we haven't bumped into over the years - especially if you're a science fiction buff. It's the implementation of the story that was truly brilliant.
My fear would be that Ubi would settle with the author of LINK and then...
The major problem I find with the above thoughts is that often a demo does nothing to give you a real sense of how the game plays. I swore off both Ghost Recon and Arma after playing their demos. Luckily, I revisited them and they are now my all-time favorite games - but it was year(s) later...
Well I put the socket under a very nice high-quality microscope and found AS 5 on some of the pins. I was able to clean off the TIM using very pointed tweezers. I then began straightening pins and, as suggested, it started to work.
Then tragedy struck...one of the pins was simply gone...cut...
Gigabyte wrote me back and actually recommended an RMA.
But I found a "tech" here at work with a nice illuminated microscope, so I'm going to see if I can maybe do some socket surgery.
Um, I'm not sure I can do that.
Here's a pic of what the pins look like.
And here's a pic of what mine look like.
Our engineering tech people (at work) have nice "professional" lit magnifiers but I'm not sure they'll magnify enough - the pins are extremely small. Will look into it...
A buddy gave me a new Gigabyte P45 board for selling 3 of his video cards on ebay. I'm not really a Gigabyte fan. The last Gigabyte board I had was a P35 board that didn't overclock for jack - even though it was KNOWN as a great overclocker. He wanted to get rid his Gigabyte P45 board because he...
yeah, I'm at a loss of thinking of ways in which I think this LCD could be improved. It's simply gorgeous.
Crazyboy, I had that oceanfront background at one point. It's a nice one. Here's where I've found the best photo wallpapers I've ever seen.
AAAAAAAACK!!!!!!! Two days old and...
Well Chrcoluk, I'm writing this in the dark using my new Dell 2209WA and I'm looking at the darkly colored Hardforum page and I'm not getting any color shifting or weird halo effects. The only thing that happens as I go far left/right or up/down is that the picture gets washed out and the blacks...
Word to that Brother!!! I'm guessing that's what most people do. About a year ago, I returned TN LCDs to both Best Buy and Newegg. They were horrible. I ended up with a 20" non-widescreen Planar. This Dell is a dream compared to anything I've had before.
With a price like $212 (or $279 if...
Just got mine set up last night and am extremely impressed! Arma at 1680x1050 with all settings Very High is stunning. Took the sharpness down to 40 as it seemed that too much texture detail was visible.
Best stand connector I've ever used. Took Bright/Contrast down from 100/100 to 15/50. It...
Mine finally shipped - my original order was placed on April 7th. Guess they got a new shipment in. They're probably processing in a FIFO fashion so those who just ordered might have to wait a bit too.
Simply from what I've heard, I'd go with the X-Rite Eye-One Display 2($200). I have the Spyder 2 Pro and I'm not impressed with it.
BTW, my delivery date on the Dell has been pushed back to May 1st.
Well I posted about this on PCPer and someone dug up this quote from an Atari rep:
If true, I might still get this game but probably after it goes to "bargain bin" price - I'm in no hurry.
