Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
For sure you guys have some great points, and it's not like I've forgotten everything that's transpired up until this point. I just wanted to make sure it worked after all of this. After all, I have received a few packages from ASUS during this ordeal, all of them a burnt 7950...
Whether or...
Finally, after nearly 3 months of pain, it's the moment everyone (and myself) have been waiting for. So I got in touch with ASUS when they received my old card, and they overnight-ed the GTX770 replacement. I documented the unboxing process and the card appears to be brand new, even had the...
Sorry I haven't updated you guys yet but honestly not much has happened. I finally got the shipping label and shipped the card back to ASUS in CA on Tues and it got there yesterday. Once they process it I should hear back and hopefully receive the replacement. I'll email the reps I've been in...
Alright so right now I'm waiting on a return label to ship my card back, at which point I should receive either a 7970 or GTX770 as a replacement, depending on what they have available.
As soon as I hear back from ASUS I'll let you guys know.
And let me say I applaud those of you sincerely...
Damn this thread's gotten awfully spicy. Let me say that it was never my intention for it to get that way. I initially just posted because I had never had any hardware that spontaneously combusted on me before. I knew the guys here at [H] had a lot of knowledge and could offer up some...
BRILLIANT! Thanks mate.
Jeffrey, I'll send you the PM again now that I have record of sending it. Probably the 3rd time now but you can never be too sure. I seriously wish to get this resolved.
Hello Jeffrey,
I didn't mean for a lack of communication. I did PM you with my RMA# on the 10th through your profile though so I'm not sure how it would have gotten the name wrong. I have PMed you again with the RMA#. Also, feel free to PM me, it's not that hard to misspell my forum handle...
Alright, a little update.
So I received an RMA shipping notification email last week. It was delivered today. They returned the card unimpaired, with a nice bit of copypasta about how my RMA is not eligable etc. that I've all heard before.
I filed with the BBB last week and ASUS has until...
I replied to cl-jeffery. I have not been contacted by anyone else, either thru here, the ROG forums, or by email.
I appreciate the response and assistance and I have replied to cl-jeffery with my RMA number. I understand you're trying to uphold the image of your company, although I'm not quite...
I apologize if my story seems suspect. As I noted on the ROG boards, the card was beginning to sag quite severely after 9 months of use. I don't know if that constitutes a "working as intended" feature, but it definitely wasn't good for the card, nor the poor Asrock Extreme4 it was bringing down...
You guys have no idea how much I appreciate all the help. I feel like I've been up against the wall ever since I sent the RMA well over a month now. I just posted a thread on the ROG forum as well, but won't appear until it's reviewed by a moderator. Hopefully it will appear...
EDIT: And it...
Anyone using a 770 with these drivers? When I installed 320.18 I got awful artifacting and crashing in BF3 and a few other games were crashing on me as well. I'm running 314.22 with an edited ini right now and it seems fairly stable but am curious if these new ones solved the issues.
Thanks.
Yep sure did. We'll see what happens. Like I've been saying I can understand if they won't cover it if I did induce the damage, but they can't even tell me how the damage was caused. I'm fairly certain I didn't cause it as I never did anything to the card except put it in the PCI-E slot and blow...
So after contacting escalation I received another email:
There's a whole slew of stuff they can deny you for apparently. I replied essentially telling them they might as well send the card back so I can finish the job of burning it myself. Kind of at the end of my rope here.
