Nah, not fixed for me, even flickering after I installed the profiles. BTW. Any release notes or something like that for the profiles? It installs but thats it...

Huh? There are BIOS updates - e.g. for the ASUS 5970 which fixes some fan issues.

Interesting because my 4870 X2 works fine - if I put the 5970 in - immediate crash within 3D mode

Looks like those drivers are NOT the hotfix ones. Or at least I hope they are not because they do not fix it, according to other forums.

Its the 10.2 Beta with driverversion 8.70 - the hotfix should have 8.69 according to the posts. I´ll try it if I get home (in 6 hours lol) - but please let it be it.

Hopefully this fixes the 3D crashing with my brand new 5970 - I can not even start a 3D app or game. I managed to fix the 2D artifacts/crashing with raising the clocks though. I also might try to install Vista and take a look if its any better
