Does anyone have calibration settings for this monitor yet? I finally got one without terrible backlight bleed after a few exchanges. Looking to tighten up the calibration though.
Just wanted to let folks know that the two monitors I received were from October 2016 and September 2016. Both had issues although the October panel seemed to have worse issues including banding whereas the September one only had BLB.
Yeah, the blue hue in the corners of mine vanish if I look at them straight on. But if I'm sitting normally, they're kinda there on dark backgrounds. I think I notice them more because I look for them. I'm thinking of wallmounting as well. More money down the drain though. :|
So I've gone through two of these now and I think I might keep the first one I got. It looks like this and seems to exhibit some lower left corner backlight bleed. However, I must note that if I look at that spot head on, there is not bleed and it looks black. So is it the angle that it's at...
Ahhhhh I see. Mine looks like this. A little blue hue in the corner when I look at the top third. I don't notice anything unless the screen is black. I can't notice the blue hue in the bottom right under normal viewing. I thought I might be anal about it, but I'm not really certain playing the...
What is a visible hotspot? I have a little bit of bluish hue in the bottom left corner on a black screen, but if I look directly straight on at it, it's not there.
I'd say the first one looks better to me. I'm in the same boat man. The backlight bleed kills it, but it's still a damn good monitor and honestly the bleed is not as bad as the glow on my current 1080p 27in IPS. My replacement had worse backlight bleed and some banding. I don't know if I'll keep...
So I got my second one of these to exchange for the first and the backlight bleed is worse than the first, plus I'm getting some banding as well. I might just decide to move on from this and wait until later to replace my monitors.
Call up Costco again. I exchanged mine yesterday. They should have inventory. The girl on the phone had to go talk to a supervisor, because there were some conflicts in the system, but it shows in stock on the website now.
I'm gonna try another one. Costco is pretty good about returns. I think I got a little banding, but not serious. I know some folks have gotten one of these displays without any backlight bleed. This one just was too annoying for me. A bit of glow I can live with, but a constant blue corner on...
I wish I got lucky. My panel has some issues.
Edit: Fortunately, I called up Costco and they are sending me a new one for exchange. I'm glad I bought from them.
