Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Again, thanks.
I am currently pondering where to put my front fan, in the middle or downstairs. I figure the latter since I already have a fan hanging behind the HDD cage in the middle compartment, cooling the graphics card, and two fans in sequence wouldn't make much sense, would it? even if...
Hi,
the installation of front fans is not documented in the P183 user guide. I am talking of intake fans mounted in one of the two front slots, which are both occupied by some round metal grid once you remove the filters.
Browsing through the forum, I've seen custom jobs of these grids...
thanks, it would seem that a one card solution will always be much costlier than 2 cards.
Plus, the only fanless model (ATI) is getting quite a bad rap on the user comment section of the page you linked.

how does Matrox do it, then? the P690 looks very slender, sports 128MB, is passive and does double dvi (remember I don't game). I was wondering if there was anything comparable out there, maybe at a slightly lower price point.
Hi,
I currently run two ASUS ENG 8600 passive-cooled cards in double dual-dvi mode (4 monitors, 3 of which 19' and one 22 wide, all in native resolution).
In my Asus P5K mainboard, the cards occupy the two larger PCIe slots, and given the height of their cooling body the protrude well into...
thanks for your thoughts Danni and jbz.
Not sure where the 60$ difference comes from, in my neck of the woods (Austria) both cases are advertised at roughly the same price, the 182 being more readily stocked currently it appears.
I think I will go with the newer model, then.
Danni, what I...
I'm looking to upgrade from my Chieftec Dragon DX, partly because a switch to i7 is beckoning (running Q6600 right now).
Have narrowed down the choice to Antec P182 or 183, silence is very important as I will be recording audio with this machine.
Two questions-
1. I run two 8600 GT silent...
