Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hi, have you taken the shroud off the fan (if it has one) and checked to see it's not covered in fluff? If you havn't it's worth a shot, I once had a 6800gs that had that problem.
I doubt if it's related but I had something extremely similar with a 6800GS, it turned out to be a heat issue due to dust build up (just had to take off the GPU cover to sort it out). Have you looked at your temps?
Hi, I had the exact same problem with the Asus 4670. I decided to try passively cooling mine and it worked like a dream, this page was very helpful and I managed to pick up the Zalman VNF100 quite cheap off Amazon Marketplace (but I'm in the U.K.).
As someone who'd never taken a GPU cooler...
