    Gaming build, ~$500 budget

Thanks for the input :) I don't plan on running SLI/CF, frankly, I'm usually just too lazy to go through the trouble of buying more hardware down the road. I'm not a good incremental updater :( That video was fantastic. Especially where it opens and just says "The GeForce 460 is awesome."...

    Gaming build, ~$500 budget

    1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc Gaming, some light software development for school, web email etc. 2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included? I originally wanted to stay around $500, but I'm looking at going up to about $550...

    Problems installing WinXP

I don't really know that much about the actual installation process, so I figured if there was something on the hard drive holding it up it would be easier to wipe it on my computer. The original installation wasn't dead, it was just really screwed up. He had two hard drives, and each had a...

    Problems installing WinXP

My friend is trying to install Windows XP on his computer. He's had it running for a few years, but somehow managed to bork his copy pretty bad, so I put his HDD in my computer, wiped it, and put it back in his. We have a copy of Windows XP Pro w/ SP2, but when we start it up, it shows the...

    SpeedFan question

In SpeedFan 4.31, is there any way to tell which temperature is monitoring what? I show six different temperatures, and I only know what two of them are (CPU and HDD), and I'd like to know what the other four are monitoring. (I have an ASUS A8N-SLI, BIOS revision 1013.)

    I broked my radiator...

Good news, the JB Weld seems to have worked :D I'm gonna try running the fans I have with a monitoring program for now and see how that works out. Thanks for everyone's input.

The game that started it all!

Pokemon was my first serious video game addiction... PC-wise, I think it was Deus Ex. I sucked haaaaard at it, but I loved it nonetheless

    I broked my radiator...

I put a little JB Weld on it this afternoon, I'll check it out when I get home from work. *crosses fingers* Thanks for the advice on the fans, I just found the thread with fan comparisons, so I'll be poking around there. One more question: I'm using worm drives on all my hoses, but I'm a...

Watercooling - What is most important to you?

A little bit of everything; I just recently got into watercooling, with the primary motivation being that I'm moving my computer next to my bed and want it to be really quiet, but wanting to get into OCing also played a part in deciding to go WC over passive coolers or something like that.

    I broked my radiator...

I think the screws are 1 1/2". I'll check out that JB Weld stuff, thanks for the tip, althought I don't know if I'll be able to get sandpaper into the area where the hole is. And the thought of a "wild drill accident" makes me chuckle, for some reason. *EDIT* Yeah, the screws are 1 1/2"...

    I broked my radiator...

While screwing my fans onto my radiator, I used screws that were a little too long (I know, shame on me for not measuring properly :(), and wound up puncturing one of the tubes (and coming damned close on the others). So now I have a pretty nasty little leak in my radiator, and I'd really like...
