Honestly, 48c isn't enough to damage the cpu, what I'd be concerned with is the load temp. Anything below 60c is most likely ok. Upgrading processor...going from Max TDP 25W to 35W
As long as there was a config of the laptop that originally sold with a 35w TDP cpu you should be fine, as long as the bios supports the new cpu. Started Windows - BSOD now my SSD is gone. Hmmm.
Does it show up in bios? Try changing the sata config in bios from AHCI to IDE. Win 7 may not be loading the sata drivers.- dbz_ssj4

Realtek driver updated, no more Dolby digital live
It was for the alc889a, but I think it's a driver multipack.. it wont hurt to try it. http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/203455/Realtek_jan09_drivers.7z It was 135mb, 7zip dropped it to 24mb :)- dbz_ssj4
