Question about GTX 780 Ti and 144 Hz 1440p G-Sync gaming

The whole point of GSYNC is that the monitor refreshes to that of the GPU. Gaming will feel very smooth. You won't hit 144hz with a 780Ti without turning down settings, but as I mentioned GSYNC makes this more tolerable.

After doing my homework, It seems like a Titan X is the best buy..

Titan X SLI was the first setup I've had that realistically allowed for 4k60 gaming w/ max or (near max) settings. Combined with the 12GB VRAM it is just a very solid setup albeit an expensive one :)

If I had 2 Titan X's in SLI I would hook them up to a ....

I had Titan X SLI until I sold one card last week. I ran mine to a ROG Swift 98% of the time. I do have the 28'' Samsung 4k monitor, but I am not really fond of it tbh. I'd say at least a 27'' 2560x1440 panel or a large 4k TV/monitor.

ASUS Announces ROG SWIFT PG278Q Premium Gaming Monitor

I currently have the 950D. I feel...eh about it. I have the hardware to push 4k with max settings, and while it looked nice something seemed off. Maybe it's the size in relation to the 4k resolution? Not sure. I have gone back to my Dell U3011 and am blown away at the difference in color. Of...

    New Silverstone FT02

Can the FT02 accommodate a mother board that is 12"x 10.7"? Listed as EATX on newegg site.. And I've read that it should fit but.. I don't want to get it and then find out the routing holes are covered or something like that. Thanks

    Upgrade Path confusion

I wouldn't go that far. Two Titans would provide a nice jump over his 690. If it's worth the money to go that route over what he has though is a seperate question.

Upgrading: Evga 570 SLI to 770 SLI - Need recommendation and advice please

I have a Dell U3011 as well, but with SLI Titans. IMO do not get a 2GB card for this resolution. 3GB at the minimum IMO.

    GTX 690 owner's experience

I've had mine for a few months and love it. Only thing I'm not too happy about is my temps. At stock temps and with Vsync off in games, I get 75c on first core and 72c on the second. This is with no OC. I'm assuming this is because of the air flow in my case? The 500r has two 120mm fans as...

680 Quad SLI vs 690 Quad SLI

Huh? This is false. You get the same VRAM usage whether you go with a 690 or 2x 680s. Same if you go the Quad SLI route if we're talking about the standard 680s....

2GB VRAM is not simply enough. (sorry 670/680 owners)

I would prefer that my 690 have more than 2GB VRAM, but so far it has not been a problem in any games that I have played at my resolution (2560x1600)

What CPU cooler are you going with? Based on the limited information you provided I think it looks fine.

Low GPU usage in Battlefield 3 MP...Something not right...

Update: I updated my BIOS after finding out that it was outdated. As a result it reset all of my settings to default. So my 2600k is now running at standard speed. I also disabled SLI and am running only one GTX 580. Load up BF3 and boom, GPU is at 99% usage and pretty much stays there. ALT-TAB...
