I got my card and the Corsair 750W installed last friday, and this thing runs smoooooth. The video card almost didn't fit in my case though, lol. Had to do a bit of re-wiring.
Very glad I got it :) Thanks for the advice
I checked and it doesn't look like NCIX carries Rosewill.. And I agree, I would totally go for a modular PSU but I don't really *need* it, and I've got a nice big Coolermaster case, so I have plenty of space to tuck away the extra cables.
Good points, thanks guys. I can't order from newegg since I'm in Canada and I don't think newegg ships to the north, so I'm going to look for a PSU on ncix
I'm thinking about this one: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=22071&vpn=S75QB&manufacture=PC%20Power%20&%20Cooling&promoid=1001...
Hey!
I just bought a GTX 260 SC (this card: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=35504&promoid=1001)
I'm currently using this PSU (430W): http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=15489&vpn=W0070RU&manufacture=Thermaltake
I've got an overclocked E4300 doing 2.5GHz, 4 sticks of...
Well I'm confident in my stripping/soldering/heatshrinking abilities but yes, for safety's sake I guess I won't pull out the wire cutters :P
And I won't use two outlets for this thing, so I guess the answer is batteries! Excellent, now to get to work.
I'm making a bubble tank and I'm hooking up some leds at the bottom. I'm looking for feedback on the best way to power the leds.
The pump runs on AC power. Some options I'm considering are:
1) Plug a wall-wart in the wall and power the leds this way (I really don't want to do this because...
Hey, quick question but I'm just double checking.
I hooked up my multimeter to a blue led I wanted to check the voltage on, and it read 2.2Volts, but I thought blue leds ran at 3 volts or higher.
I just don't want to burn out some of these lights, is 2.2V correct?
I have some EL wire and it has an inverter with an input of 12 volts, and I have an "old-school" boombox that I want to play around with and mod for fun, but the boombox runs on 9 volts.
What would happen if I wired the 12V inverter with the 9 volt input from the boombox. Would the wire just...
That'd work but it would probably have the effect of the lights being always on.. as there is always ambient noise in any environment, so the microphone would constantly be receiving signals.
If money isn't a problem you can get an equalizer hooked up to a line out on your PC, and play around...
Yep, the only thing in the power cable is the positive and negative wires. Open it up, the Red cable should be positive and Black will be ground (negative).
I'm thinking of buying an LG L1933TR
Does anybody have any thoughts on this monitor? I've always been impressed with LG's products but I just thought I'd check to make sure.
21 and 27 are pretty good temps, I've overclocked my 4300 to 2.7GHz with the factory intel HSF and my cores idle at 40-41, your stock temps are great. Unsure about your overlocked temps though, I can only suggest checking the voltage
Hey 0graymic, that's a great idea, glad you posted it!
I have all the necessary components but haven't made all the connections in the original plan yet, I got side tracked and started making an LED-glowing plexiglass mousepad.
When the mousepad is finished, and providing I have time in...
