ok, i just read what the WD WD20EARX wasen't good drives for zfs raidz2. Is SAMSUNG F4 HD204UI a better choice for a 8tb six drive raidz2 array?- dasboot

2 old socket 775 boards for a new freebsd server, help me choose....
I need 8x s-ata for my storage harddrives. So either go for one of these or a cheaper board + s-ata controller card. I just found a p5q premium motherboard, so i will probably go for it.- dasboot

Hi, I'm planing to use a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H in my server, but will all 8 s-ata ports work in freebsd? I'm worried about the two ports that are controlled by "gigabyte s-ata2 chipset". Does any one run freebsd on their board or can test if it work before i order one? ;) //DasBoot -
