Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
that's an idea, athough I had the same issue when I had a different PSU (CP-1000)
I haven't played with the sticks yet, I will try that and see what happens, like if taking one stick out makes it work with the 4GB all the time or something.
Hi All,
So I've had this problem for about a year now (its been crazy busy so I haven't had time to addrss it), but I thought someone on here might have some insight. Here's the deal:
I have 3x2GB sticks of RAM, clocked with XMP
Whenever I first boot up the rig after, say, 5-12 hours of...
that's exactly what I was thinking, but what they showed in the picture is that when oriented vertically the lower pipes are too low, a point they don't make clear in the FAQ, and one that worries me because most stock GPU coolers are similarly oriented.
so I've been going back and forth with silverstone support asking them about the cooler issue and looking for aftermarket cooler solutions.
In the latest email I asked about the AC twin turbo pro, here was their response:
it's a bit of a marketing response, but the attached picture just...
Just wondering what people would consider the best tools for checking hardware status. That is to say not monitoring hardware status, i.e. software you leave on all the time so you want to minimize its performance footprint, but software that gives you the most accurate information on your...
I solved the issue, it was a short, I had thrown in a shorter 6-pin PSU connector to molex since I was only using one of the connectors over a short distance, but I just noticed that that 6-pin connector had a wire doubled back on itself. Idk where I got it from but it was shorting the PSU...
I think anandtech has the best SSD comparisons hands down, they test using a variety of benchmarks that focus on not only specific operation (e.g. sequential and random read/writes of different sizes, e.g. 4kb RW or 16kb RW) but also real-world-like tests, plus they test for how well SSDs...
Hi All,
So I just built a new HTPC (details in sig). I got it running with just the boot SSD about a week ago, just installed Win7 and drivers then set it aside for the week til I could get to it again. It ran fine then, booted multiple times, I played with it a little here and there.
I...
I got two HD5850s for $120 after rebate about 5 months ago, it was a newegg sale. You'll definitely have to be patient to see it come up, although last I checked (couple months ago) HD5850s were going for $170 pretty standard. 5870 might be more expensive, but if so the premium probably isn't...
Honestly, I'd get ATI HD5870s in CF. Their power demands (and hence noise and heat) are much lower for similar performance, and you can find them for ~$130 each if you're patient.

Looks good, a couple notes:
- eventually you'll want to change the 150GB HDDs with a 160GB SSD. Not only will your system run smoother and cooler (you won't see an fps increase, but you will see substantial performance boosts in your general OS operation, boot time, load times, and any...
It's probably cabling, make sure everything you get everything laying as flat as possible, in the grooves.
I ordered the FT02 btw, I'm just too excited by it, and think it has a good chance of some great thermals for air cooling. I'm going to try it with the stock coolers, but if it doesn't...
it worked!
I'm still up in the air between the FT02 and the 1200, we'll see, I'll do more thinking. The FT02 is so attractive; it'll run quieter, look better, and not have those LEDs on all the time, but at half the price the 1200 will work for what I need, probably delivering similar cooling.
