DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I decided to mod my strix 270i board heatsinks to work with the nexus cooler. Running with the axp100 in pull mode and I can run stable with a delided 7700k overclocked to 4.6ghz. idle: 35c gaming load for a few hours at 67-70c max. It's not the coolest but it really is a lot quieter than...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

So I contacted innodisk about low profile ram and volume discounts. If we can get 50 people together we can get 32gb (2x16gb) VLP ram for $318. The volume discount is for 100 16gb sticks. You think there are 50 people interested in doing this? This is 100 dollars cheaper than the crucial...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Anyone interested in a like new Nexus 7000 r2, with all the parts, I'll throw in a scythe slim stream 2000rpm 120mm fan plus some copper mosfet heatsinks. I tried to get this to work with my Asus z270i and ripjaw 5 ram to no avail. The even with the heatsinks removed, my ram was an issue, and I...

repentsinner thanks for posting the shots under the heat sinks. I plan on removing the one by the IO ports so I can fit the nexus cooler with a 120mm fan. Hopefully I can use my ram without modification. Hopefully this results in some superior cooling.

Thanks for posting this. Where did you get the ax-100 brackets from? Also, do you think a 100mm fan will fit?

Anyone with a Kaby Lake delidding tool in the NYC area

Yeah seems like my best bet is going to be purchasing the tool and just letting anyone in NYC use it that needs it. :). Thank you all!

I wonder if not having a fan directly blowing air over two of the heat pipes will decrease performance a lot?

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Running at 2000 rpm the fan is much quieter audible but only slightly. When I have it around 1200-1300 rpm I can't hear it at all. The problem is I need to under clock it so much to keep temps manageable. I did not delid it yet, but am thinking about it. Probably will try one of the bigger heat...

Anyone with a Kaby Lake delidding tool in the NYC area

Anyone in the NYC area buy all the tools to delid their CPU. Skylake or Kabylake? Looking to subsidize your purchase, if I can use your tool and hopefully coollaboratory ultra. Trying to avoid ordering a kit I'll use once, and also avoid any downtime by sending it somewhere for a week. Thanks!

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Tried the Noctua A9x14 fan on my c7 heat sink with a 7700k. Performance isn't that great, can't keep up with the 7700k heat. It is much quieter, and works for underclocked cpu. When I run it at stock clocks and have fan running at full, it idles at around 55c with spikes into the 90's doing...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I went to the coolJag website and subtracted the height of the fan from the cooler, it comes out to around 50mm tall. Since the case only allows up to 48mm cooler height isn't this an issue? Not sure if the original poster fit his into the case. If not I'd be willing to test with a 120mm Scythe...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I use the Asus Strix 1080, it doesn't break a sweat in the case with an over clock. I think i've only seen max of 70 celcius and it wasn't even that loud. Now the c7 cpu cooler is another story, this thing is loud in this case, sounds like a jet engine. Using AiSuite though helped me tame the...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I ended up getting my case last week, waiting on some parts to start my build. I purchased a 7700k and am concerned about dealing with heat Has anyone thought about water cooling the CPU. I did some measurements an I think if you use one of these small atx power supplies like "HDPLEX 300w"...
