    1080TI's coming down yet?

    The lowest I saw was for an EVGA 11G-P4-6796-K3 for $820 so I jumped on it yesterday from EVGA direct. Looks like they went back up, though, to around $940 as of this morning. Just have to pull the string when you see a deal (or at least what you are willing to stomach).

    Would plan on at least spending $175 and get a 960. Even then you are pinned down with only 2gb Vram.

    Did see a noticeable difference in the new Tomb Raider game after switching to a 980TI. Other titles, not so much.

    connecting receiver to HTPC

    Creative Labs or HT / Omega for the sound card. Asus Xonar if money is not an issue. Use the optical input/output if sound is your only concern.

    The price has only went up $10.00 since 1988(Nintendo NES), so yes. I do not have a problem with it. I never pay full price due to the fact that I wait for sales or for the prices to drop.
