i think they're pretty clean, the 13700k i had in before was a bit hot too. could be the case, a lian li 011d evo but i think there's plenty of airflow with all those fans. did see some reports the 14900k runs cooler, could be the 14700ks are just worse silicon.
have noticed bitdefender...
ive got a 14700k it does run a bit toasty, max on mine after running cinebench was 91c , that's with stock power limits and a slight undervolt. did get 34520 in cinebench r23 though and is boosting to 5.6 ghz on two of the cores from time to time. ive got a msi z690 carbon wifi motherboard...
i would assume that intel see it as a loss leader that will give them valuable feedback and possibly a market advantage in the future so are willing to make a loss whilst they gather the telemetry and other user feedback/ establish dgpu market presence.

well the post really should have been in the storage forum, but i thought id be helpful. still the amount written to the drive should be of most interest really at least to me.
ive got my 12600kf and gigabyte gaming x ddr 4 board. have ordered the arctic liquid freezer 2 240 from amazon. just waiting for that and the bracket to arrive from arctic.
I'm not sure any psu manual I've read says the protection only works once, maybe something the average user is unaware of. probably better if it failed gracefully and blew a fuse on a protection event rather than powering on after some time.
well im satisfied that they demonstrated that opp doesn't work satisfactorily and shut the psu down before doing damage to itself. seems a design flaw to me, wouldnt accept one of those psu's even if it was free. gigabyte can waffle on as much as they want i dont think many people are buying...
