the workgroup is all the same on all the computers. on the computer i built, in workgroup computers, i can only see mine, with the laptop, i can see all the computers on the network but can't access them (All firewalls are turned off not internet security) and on the last compaq pc, is says...
It worked on one computer (mine only) in properties, it changed from packets to bytes, but when I go to view workgroup computers, it only shows mine. also, i ran the network setup on all the computers and named them all MSHOME. if you know anythig, please tell me:confused:
i did build one of da computers myself, but others in the room do the same thing.
1 other thing - dis network does not have a server. and i don't know and/or have the equipment avaliable. thanx for helping though.
is your mother board faulty 2 find out, try it with different components, my first motherboard was ac97 audio ond i couldn't even hear system sounds. it was faulty.

i would be really upset if AMD die, they power all da computers im sitting around. i prefer AMD to Intel and i don't know what i would do if they went. i find AMD faster that Intel because all the computers ive been on with intel chips, they take ages to settle in when you log on and AMD it...
i brought this motherboard and i kept the operating system from an old motherboard, it bluescreened once and them froze in the BIOS and them couldn't get any screen output at all. could a motherboard be damaged if you keep an operating system from an old motherboard?:confused:
I've just built my computer and everything works fine exept the audio. The audio program does not detect front panel audio and no sounds play out the back panel :( I've checked all the cables, installed all the latest drivers, but it still doesn't work. Will someone please tell me what to do to...
