Also wanted to ask would a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Dual-Link Active Adapter be the only way to get 2560x1400 resolution connecting my MBP to the Monitor, or seeing as the monitor has a display port could I use a Mini Displayport to Displayport cable to achieve the same resolution?

Think I'll bite the bullet and purchase the AOC, seems to have everything I need and want. I guess I'll fork out for the dual link dvi adapter too, hopefully someone knows a cheaper alternative than apple's version. Yet again, really appreciate the advice, you've been very helpful.
