Also wanted to ask would a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Dual-Link Active Adapter be the only way to get 2560x1400 resolution connecting my MBP to the Monitor, or seeing as the monitor has a display port could I use a Mini Displayport to Displayport cable to achieve the same resolution? -

Probberly should of been more clear, I don't intend to use my the monitor with my MBP for gaming, more just for streaming videos, films etc. Also in regards to needing an inbuilt scalar, if I bought a monitor that didn't have one could I still use the monitor with the PS4 at 1080p? Also... -
