Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Its a single house. But maybe I wasn't clear enough. The fiber from my ISP comes directly to my cisco sfp port. I'm trying to make this work without the use their router/modem. And firstly I need to configure the cisco switch to even get the multicast IPTV vlan correctly. Once that works, I can...
My current network setup goes like this. I have FTTH which goes straight to the sfp port in my Cisco SG300-20. That port is on untaged vlan5 which gets me internet&voip. I also have 3 ports on the switch on vlan5. 2 for the 2 routers (one is my Edgemax Lite and one a Mikrotik which is for my...
I've built a similar server last year for the exactly same purposes.
ASRock B85M Pro4
Intel Core i3-4130T, 2x 2.90GHz

What is your current disk setup? Just few disk pooled together? You can try snapraid and it works fine with DrivePool but I think you'll need to get a parity drive (you should get one anyway if you don't have any form of "raid" setup at the moment).
Only EVO series got an fw fix so either you have it in which case update, or you have the PRO series which has not been updated a long time. There is no EVO PRO ssd.
I have 24 3tb setup with 2 pools: 2x10raid2z and 3raidz (used to have stripe mirror with 4 hdd). Although the large pool is fast, its not very safe (already had 2 drives died from the same vdev at the same time, but everything was okay and still works). If I could do it again, I would use 2...
Thanks.
One more thing. I imported my old pools and are working fine, just:
Do I "upgrade" using menu pool->features and click "enable" on the options that are disabled or "zpool upgrade"?
Because I was unable to update omnios 151006 to latest, I exported the pools and wanted to install a fresh image. But I was unable to mount the vmtools to media.
So I downloaded the pre-setuped esxi VM 14b which works now. I changed the hostname and entered my PRO key. But I don't know how to...
I have a small low power i3 with 2x 3tb toshibas in raid1 refs on 2012r2. It reaches 1gbit which is all i need for now. Will probably add a ssd for cache and 3 more disks in the future update. SS version of raid10 uses 5 drives so that you can loose 2 of any drives.
Ok i have data/bridge/tv (pool, filesystem, one of the top folders on that pool). Where should i be located when performing this, bridge or tv? Which option in reset acl do I use (i have pro licence)? After reset I just add my local user (and again where should I be located)?
There is also acl...
It's probably been explained, so I apologize for that :o
I'm having problems with ACLs. I have a omnios with nappit e1 (pro) and the system was previously part of a domain and one domain user had full rights. I left the domain and it is now on a normal workgroup lan. I went to "acl on folder"...
I have 20 3tb red -68A disks. 4 of 10, which were bought september 2012, died in first 2 weeks of 24/7 operation. Other 10 were bought december 2012. All of them (including those 4 replacement) are still working flawless together in a 10+10 raid2z.
Im also planning on building a 2012r2 ReFS...
Depends on the usage. For example i flashed mine to 9211 IT mode (because i don't need raid for ZFS) and no bios (boots faster and its useless anyway since I cant create a raid on it).
