Urgent Help ! Bought Online Seagate ST4000DM005 instead got ST4000DM004....Is this Bad ???

Actually the ST4000DM005 model is older (2016 model) and the ST4000DM004 model is newer (2017 model). The 2017 model uses only 2 platters instead of 3 in the 2016 model.

The Great Giana Sisters: great looking remake on kickstarter

On kickstarter I stumbled upon a project that is already well on its way to a very nice remake of "The Great Giana Sisters"! The original game is now 25years old (wait, this means I am THAT OLD!?) and was great fun on the C64 for me. Take a look at the free demo. I played it with the...

    COD MW3 or BF3

Did you set the resolution option (or similar, I don't remember the exact menu entry name) to 'Native'? This should help. The graphics will at least match MW2 then. And since I'm relplying in this thread anyway, I'd like to add that I really enjoy MW3. I didn't expect a huge step forward and...

Fractal Design R3: how to dim power LED

On the R3 it's hard to do that because the LED illuminates also a circle around the power button. I had some tape on the lower part at first, but the undimmed circle was still too bright.

Fractal Design R3: how to dim power LED

Have you actually succeeded with dimming a LED that way? AFAIK LEDs need to be pulsed in order to be dimmed electrically.

Fractal Design R3: how to dim power LED

I really like my Fractal Design Define R3 case, but from the first day on I found the blue power LED too bright. Especially at night with the computer in hibernate mode the ultrabright blinking LED was annoying. So here is a 5 minute mini-mod to dim the power LED on the R3: Tools...

    Scythe Mugen 2 or H50

I was just configuring my build and chose the Mugen2 over H50 as I expect better temps and lower noise with the H50. As mentioned the Mugen2 mounting system shall be cumbersome.

MSI GTX 560 Ti Hawk or XFX 6950

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new z68 i5-2500k system and have a hard time deciding between those two cards which are both around 210€ plus shipping where I live: MSI GTX 560 Ti Hawk XFX 6950 (HD-695A-CNFC) I'm using a 24" display at 1920x1200 and do not plan to use dual...
