7970 Tri-Crossfire - Want to use Bottom Care as Primary

Hi Gents, I usually run my 4 monitors from the top card but my bottom card is the best card (lowest default voltage) and is right next to the bottom 120MM noctua intake fan. So...I want to run my monitors from the bottom card to reduce power usage when idle and temps. I'm running R4E with 1...

    7970 Trifire PCI-E 3.0 Monitor Placement

Odd question, I could benchmark and I might do that but thought I would throw it out there. Rampage IV Extreme HAF-X with a 120mm bottom fan The cards all have an open slot between them and run Top PCI-E 3.0 X 16 Middle PCI-E 3.0 X 8 Bottom PCI-E 3.0 X 8 Any negative impact to...

    Asus direct cu2 7970 power/eyefinityquestions

In my experiance 1 7970 is not going to be enough power for perfectly smooth performance in BF3 at ultra on 3 screens. There are also $320 IPS 1200p monitors on the market with dp connectors. Good luck with your 7970, I have been in driver hell with mine but thankfully I love to tinker.

New AMD Cat 12.7 Beta "JUNE 12" Drivers

Fresh install of win 7, all win 7 updates, drivers needed and the programs I usually use. Then I made a system image. Installed 12.7 and 12.7 cap...machine stop errors after 10 minutes. Restored image, no issues thus far after an hour. Going to leave it go for a while and try 12.6 again. At...

New AMD Cat 12.7 Beta "JUNE 12" Drivers

12.6 Rocks for BF3, and so does 12.7 except for the crashes :-(. And forget about 12.7 with Batman Arkham city or Dirt 3 even on one monitor. FAIL! I did not even bother to try eyefinity, time to restore my system image with 12.6. BE WARNED!

New AMD Cat 12.7 Beta "JUNE 12" Drivers

12.6 beta works for Trifire and eyefinity in BF3. However, Trifire is not working in Dirt3 or Batman Arkham city even on a single screen. (Needed a bench to test memory overclocking and dicsovered the issue).

AMD 12.6 7970 TirFire Not Working in Batman Arkham City

Tried Dirt 3 and it worked single and dual, but in Trifire performance was worse then Dual :-( That's it for tonight!

AMD 12.6 7970 TirFire Not Working in Batman Arkham City

It was not an issue with eyefinity and Trifire with the release drivers. I switched to one monitor to run the benchmark and experiment with memory overclocking. Anyone else have any advice? Thanks!
