Personally I prefer 1080p, not only for the fps but also I don't like the big size very much. And if your monitor has blur reduction technology having high frames is essential. And personally I'll take blur reduction over gsync/freesync any time on a 4ms IPS panels.
It's 1440p, which is a bad thing because of lower fps so you can't keep the blur reduction going in most games, it's 4ms, it's IPS so really bad blacks compared to the FORIS FG2421. No thanks.
There is also the Eizo FS2735 coming out soon which will have a different blur reduction technology. It might be (overall) slightly better than current IPS gaming panels, but not necessarily.
There is the PG279Q and a 100hz 21:9 asus monitor coming out soon. What's likely to come out next year is more gaming IPS panels perhaps a couple of decent VAs until the next gen of GPUs with dp 1.3 and HDR so we'll start seeing 21:9 1440p that run at 144hz and 4k monitors at 120hz (I think) +...
None of them are gaming IPS screens, and it's not just about viewing angles it's about color reproduction as well, now that IPS and VA gaming screens are starting to come out it seems ludicrous to me to pay 800$ for a TN screen. You can get the Acer XB270HU for the same price...
January 2014, Japan. No light band, bleeding is very minimal barely visible. No dead pixel, no color shift (poor viewing angles of course but no significant color shift). Just irritating partial cosshatching at some spots on the screen.
I received mine yesterday also, I will do a review later, I really like the monitor it's absolutely the right one for me and everything seems good except I have visible crosshatching. I could live with it but what are the chances I could get a panel without it (and other issues) if I returned...
You don't need gpu power for 120hz, I see an improvement in motion even at 60 fps. Gaming monitors will not only have higher refresh rate but also less blur and input lag. You could either get 2 monitors one for image quality and another for gaming (like the Asus VG248QE) that's what I do, or...
Just my two cents but I have a 40" TV and a 120hz monitor and there's no way that I would game on my TV its got very low input lag for a TV and a gaming mode and it's still terribly laggy (all tvs except a very few select ones are like that). And 60hz is very unpleasant for gaming when you're...
With LB monitor always primary,
enabling 3d on it alone works then adding screens = reverts to normal
with screens already extended, enabling 3d on it doesn't work
