Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Got a 4006 too as core switch for my home network.

That was a 220S I assume, not an MD1000. MD1000 is sas. Connected with dual infiniband.
MD1000 is quite noisy when fans are at full speed (running hot, one PSU or at startup) but during normal operation the noise isn't that bad.
Mine is filled with 7x 300GB SAS 15k (6 in Raid 50 + HSP) and 8x...
And back online again after a write erase on each network device and a new addressing scheme. :D
The racks are not Dell, they are self-made. Have a third one for the Cisco Lab.
The connectors are powercon. Look the same as speakon but won't fit offcourse.
I did put powercon and ethercon on...
Nice.
Got a Cisco 2801 coming in a few days.
As a part of testing/planning my network/server overhaul I used the 2600XM with NM-2V + FXS/FXO WIC's from my lab to do some config tests for connecting my new CallManager setup to some analog lines and sip trunks, and soon realized IOS below 15.0...
They won't draw anything near their rating.
I have 2 4006 chassis sitting here in my lab, each with 3 gigabit blades + sup. Both have 3 power supplies 580W each but one chassis only draws around 350watts all PSU's connected and only 250 running on one PSU.
III is as loud as the II. I actually have the idea they are louder than the 1's, but that could just be the config.
I got a hold of a 1950 last month and I'm quite surprised how quiet that one is. I generally had the idea 1U's are more noisy than 2U's.
It's indeed an Ikea Galant Desk, beech veneer with T legs. Very modular and not too pricy. Total cost including extensions would be around $350 - 400 I think.
The white Back-UPS 300 has been replaced by a smart-UPS 1000 rather quickly after making the pictures since it didn't like my...
Like Nitrobass24 guessed it's indeed a web page (PHP) which gets it's info from Cacti and Nagios.
Unlike the Nagios default view, this only shows warnings and errors which gives a way better overview. It runs in firefox fullscreen mode and refreshes every 10 seconds.
