Less heat is always good. Only six bucks more, I may go with those.
Ha, I foolishly assumed that since it was a 10,000 RPM drive it had to be faster. In that case, maybe I'll get two of the Caviars instead.
Sounds good, thanks.
I'm getting ready to put a new system together, and wanted some feedback on some parts I'm considering. My current system (built 2 1/2 years ago) is an E6600. At this point, I can't see spending any more money on the LGA775 chipset.
The Q & A:
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming...
Thanks for the reply...in looking at the specs between the 2 cards (GTX 275 vs. 285) I'm not sure that the extra frames would be worth the extra $100.00. I can get the 275 for ~$250, while the 285 is ~$350.

Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB

First, I wanted to thank people here for answering my questions when I was looking at 30" monitors.
I went with the Dell, and posted a review with photos here:

If you check it out, please let me know if I posted any incorrect...
Is there a 30" HP monitor other than the LP3065? It doesn't look like it has a scaler, and only has DVI inputs. It's less expensive, but I think I'd rather have those other inputs.
Will probably upgrade my graphics card then, thanks.
Greetings all, new user here.
I'm getting ready to buy a larger monitor, either a 27" or a 30". I'm in the middle of researching what's out there, and had some questions about resolutions and such, in order to decide which way to go.
My needs:
I spend most of my day doing graphics in...
