HDR is supposed to be an absolute standard. If you’re viewing content mastered at 1000 nits or 4000 nits for a dark environment, than yes, aren’t the creators disagreeing with you that 400 nits is good enough?

Ah, thanks! It looks like the $1000 total is calculated after one of the promos, though, so it comes out to $959.99 (meaning I'd need to add $40 of additional stuff to qualify, which negates much of the savings.)
