About to pull the trigger on this GTX 275 Or go AMD?

Most people don't experience Nvidia driver issues, this is simple fact. Sorry your sample didn't turn out that way and I just don't agree with your "fact." I know what happened with the 4850's.

About to pull the trigger on this GTX 275 Or go AMD?

It seems a lot of other people disagree with you. ATI has had issues with drivers for as long as I can remember aside from the 9800 pro, and the hotfix for the 4850 card powering down (it was over heating because it ran at full power all of the time) was first fixed by third party modified...

About to pull the trigger on this GTX 275 Or go AMD?

The best drivers for the ati cards seem to be modified or homebrew. The cards are great but the hassle usually isn't worth the extra 20 bucks you save going with one. I'd stuck with nvidia for the hassle free solution.

    ATI 9.1 is up

Alot of people put custom drivers on their machines, if you update normally with just ati drivers typically it can work itself out, the opposite is true of homebrew or custom solutions.

    ATI 9.1 is up

Just a fair warning, that bsod could be from drivers not removed that the uninstaller couldn't completely remove, especially if you put homebrew on there. If that is the case just wipe the drivers now and reinstall. Remove the registers from the homebrew and your remaining ccc registers from...

    EDAA

It really bogs down the performance in every game i've tried it out on. Crossfire HD 4850's and its tanked on everything from World of Warcraft to Fallout 3. It might work on something much older, but those graphics don't seem to be designed to be looked at as much as the newer content. I am...

    ati hotfix

yes as far as I could tell, I could be a clueless but I installed the hotfix and suddenly my screens quit locking up in fallout3 after a few hours. I next augmented that with adding some more air flow over the ati cards, the processor is water cooled limiting how much air flow I focused on...

    9.1's a myth? :)

So where are those 9.1 drivers eh? Ever since that leaked information I've been chomping at the bit. I got 2x HD 4850's right out of the gate.

Sears vip night Nov 11 electronics dept

So I spent some time looking at the displays today and our Sears is offering the deal. So far the best looking displays were the 42 (GV42LF) and 47 (GV47LF) inch visio's, another nice look was the sharp (LC46D434). The sony (KDS50A2020) had decent, if not old, review. I can't seem to...
