Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I was thinking about the second option(and that is most likely what I am going to do), but 23 seems to big, maybe a 22 lol. At the same time, I was wondering whether my system would be able to handle newer games at that resolution with max settings. I wish Nvidia would stop avoiding price wars...
Well I can spend more than 150, I mean you could add like maybe 100-150 to that price, but remember it's best buy, so their selection is limited plus they are at a higher price than Newegg.
Hey guys I'm gonna upgrade my current system, and I have all the other stuff settled except my video card situation. I don't know whether I should upgrade or not. I currently have a 8800GT with 512 MB DDR3. My new system specs are in the list below.
GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 mobo
SAMSUNG...
Ok so my finalized parts for upgrade are:
GigabyteGA-P55A-UD3 Motherboard
Intel i5 750 CPU
G. Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB DDR31600 RAM
Western Digital Black 640 GB
Tell me what you guys think and can a 500W Earthwatts CPU run this setup along with an 8800GT 512MB and another hard drive and an...
I chose it because it's dual core and for gaming I thought the general consensus was that dual core was better because most games can't take advantage of 4 cores. I thought 4 cores was more for like video editing and the like. As for the ram, thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely pick that...
Ok so after doing some research I decided to go with this motherboard/cpu combo:
Motherboard is the GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128412
CPU is the Intel Core i5-650 Clarkdale 3.2GHz 4MB L3 Cache...
Well it varies, some are 1 some are like 5. I pretty much am building a new system. I want a motherboard, CPU, RAM, and hard drive. Graphics card I already have, and it's only like a year old.
Yeah it was 500W my bad. Must have pressed that 5 instead of 0 on accident.
Oh and my current rig setup is this. (it was my first build and I took some real bad advice but here it is.)
MOBO: Intel 945PVS
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 640 Prescott 3.2GHz
RAM: CORSAIR 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM...
Nah, no monitor upgrade in the near future. Yeah, I run most things at 1280 x 1024. I'm not worried about running things at high resolutions, I'm more worried about dealing with textures and lighting and other special effects.
Hey guys, I've been out of the loop for a while regarding computer parts, but I think my rig is in need of an upgrade so I figured this would be the best place to come.I'm not a 100% sure on what parts I want, but that's only because I have some questions about the new stuff that's come out...
