Yes. But IMO if you're going to take the time to uni-sleeve cables, I'd bet that you'll also be doing excellent cable management, thereby increasing airflow. So it's more of a placebo effect, as far as thermal performance goes. :D
I guess so, but I buy all my sleeve from mdpc-x anyway. BTW if you're only getting 30-40 meters, the shipping is a very reasonable 11 euro from Germany to US.
Oh, heh, sorry I completely skimmed over that.
I think black/grey or black/grey/red would look good (as long as you get rid of the blue CCFLs):
Hope that helps :)
This is what I do (copied from my post at evga):
Get two staples, then bend them so they form an "L". Insert the long end of the staple onto between the sides of the pins and the connector. Push them down far enough that they push the metal tabs in, then pull the cable out. Obviously easier...
Oh, and I should have mentioned: you can get by with a lot less sleeve if you only uni-sleeve the last 12" (visible portion), and then use big sleeve to cover the rest of the cable.
the.ronin: the 96 meters figure also includes the molex and sata cables :)
Heh, cool. :)
The HX1000 sticker blue is much closer to the aquamarine blue than the grand (darker) bleu. I don't have an HX1000 here ATM to take a shot with the aqua and grand bleu next to it, but one should be coming in this week for me to sleeve. If I remember, I'll post a pic. :)
BTW - you...
Depends completely on the PSU. If you're going to be sleeving it the full length, then multiply the length of each cable by the number of wires it has (ie a 20" 24pin will use 480 inches = ~12.2 meters). For reference... to fully uni-sleeve every wire (including all modular cables) on the...
