Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
No, not the hanging up part. I mean the post itself.
"Apparently AMD puts a lot of value in underclocking a GPU, putting it on a smaller PCB, deleting the water cooler, and calling it Nano."
It looks like they have already made up their mind and drawn their conclusion.
No issues. I tried 64 CUs, but it got errors in GPUPI so that was a no go. I went back to 60 CUs and it is just fine
60 CUs show a predictable 7% advantage in GPUPI (matches the math from 56->60). I only get about a 2.2% gain in Firemark, which does seem a bit low but then again Fury X is...
The only OC vs OC comparison of 970 vs 390 I can find:

1442MHz on the 970, and 1200MHz on the 390. YMMV of course. But overall, the 390 is faster.
A 290X deal is certainly the best bang for the buck though. But the sweet XFX 290X deal has expired, so...
Good post. There is logic in voting with your wallet. I too am one of those strange people who partly base purchasing decisions on taking a stand or supporting a more balanced market. I'm not a masochist though; I would not buy an AMD CPU for my main rig.;)
But I suppose it's not surprising...
780 Ti would be terrible. It can still play games admirably, but it uses almost 290 power anyway, is not optimized for, only has 3GB of memory, and is all around stupid to choose over a 290X / 390 / 970 at this point in time. People who have them can still use them, but to buy one doesn't make...
I went with AMD because I don't want to support what Nvidia is doing, i.e. Gameworks, not supporting Free Sync, blatant lies about GTX 970, screwing over Kepler users, etc. In the end I lost performance compared to if I spent a bit more on a 980 Ti, but so be it. If Nvidia gets a monopoly...
"Unfortunately, HBM is not the saving grace of the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X that propels it forward in 4K gaming currently. It is held back by capacity and performance."
Where's your evidence of this "capacity" limitations thus far?
It appears you enter with the preconceived notion that 4GB is...
Oh, you dismissed the AOC? Goodluck finding lower input lag on any other 1080 60hz IPS. Not to say the i2757 is flawless, but it's king on that aspect.
I use this for my console and pc. Low input lag.

4K with reduced settings is achievable on any moderately high end video card. Some people choose 4K displays because they value the extra workspace and PPI even if they have to play new games at medium to achieve 60fps.
But it goes both ways. 4K may make the Fury look better, but 1080 might...
