    2005FPW poll

    No dead pixels, a bit of backlight leakage in the top right and even less in the lower right. It seems to be improving so I think I'll keep it.

    Why gaming on LCD?

    I have a Viewsonic VX910 and I can detect absolutely no ghosting, even in very fast paced games. An LCD will give you brighter, crisper, sharper color and is much better for non-gaming use. Really, the only disadvantage of LCDs is poor blacks, and that's slowly going away.

    2001FP or 2005FPW for gaming?

    Go for the 2005FPW. Most new games support widescreen, such as HL2, Doom 3, Far Cry, Enemy Territory and UT2004. And if you want to play some old games, you can have black bars on the sides. You'll get an advantage in FPS games with a greater FOV. Widescreen is the future.
