    You need to look up what its beeps mean. Its motherboard battery might just need to be replaced. Then, look at its specs and see if it can be upgraded.

    Question about thermal compound

    Actually MX-2 is quite a good thermal compound in my opinion. It might be more difficult to applied. You might need to put it on the top of a TV for about half an hour to make it softer before application.
