Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I agree with prtzlboy. I find that I read much faster with my kindle than I do with a traditional book because I'm not scanning as much area to read the text. It's also MUCH easier to hold in a number of different sitting positions - especially when compared to a large hardcover.
The only...
You give this guy way too much credit. I watched him put my laptop on, 'Run...->cmd->ipconfig /all->MAC in router table->128bit WEP key -> done. Didn't check to make sure I got an IP or anything. He doesn't care about 'problem systems'. Though this is a good take on this I didn't think of -...
I've mentioned this. The response was, "well, the current system seems to work." This is what I'm dealing with - completely misinformed management being educated by an IT guy who just wants to keep billing to add computers to a MAC filter.
FWIW, I also subscribe to this security method at...
:) Because we're a television production company, not an IT company. First thing the office manager said in response to my claim though - my response, "I don't have time, I'm working." :)
I'm not arguing that MAC filtering is useless, but my point is: From a cost-benefit POV for this...
I'm so frustrated with my company's IT guy. We're a tiny production company, with a crappy 802.11b network (using WEP), and our IT guy won't budge on removing MAC filtering from our network.
Basically, he has the ear of the office manager (who for some reason is empowered with such...
Now we're hummin'!
I unplugged the power supply, and plugged in one I had that was for a mod I'm planning, and it works!
It appears as though my resolution switch caused my graphics card (gf6800nu) to spike it's power draw, and killed the psu.
I guess that's what happens when a psu is...
Well, after my chkdsk reported it 'fixed some errors'. I rebooted successfully with only the c: hdd connected. I messed around a little, restarted a couple of times, and everything seemed fine.
So I then reconnected all the EIDE devices, and crash...
I've noticed that all the drives...
The system acted up after switching screen resolution.
Windows 2000, asus a7n8x-e deluxe, amd 2500+ (1.9ghz), 1gb pc2700(dual channel).
The system boots fine to safe mode, for a time. I'm able to rummage around, and I've disabled all startup programs I can find. (All startup folders, many...
For SDTV, you can't beat Hauppauge's encoders. I have a PVR350, and PVR500 both running on one system using SageTV, and the quality is virtually indistiguishable from 'normal TV'. They also (namely the PVR250) have very good support in all OSs and DVR software, so if you get a wild hair and...
Right now I use both Meedio and SageTV. I have sage on a PVR350 output (sweet on an SDTV), and Meedio on the GFX card. Sage for me is ONLY for television, and it does it very well. Meedio IMO is much better suited for other tasks, like a DVD or MP3 library (and news, and dvd ripping, and a...
Hehe, isn't that funny? The manual actually has usefull information! IMO Sage has a great manual, and it answers most questions I think users like us aren't used to finding documentation on.
Downside to the 768 is that it shares the directional buttons with either numbers, or transport buttons. Also, I don't think it has the dedicated activity buttons, which is one of the things that makes the 680 so wife-friendly IMO.
But you're right, at $50, you could buy 2 for the price of...
