    Swiftech H240-X AIO CPU Cooler

If I was in the market for an AIO, it would be between the 240-X and EK Predator. Both have good blocks, although for me, the Predator would probably edge it due to their Vardar fans being included in the mix.

    Just wondering

Source: AnandTech - The AMD Radeon R9 290X Review I haven't read the whole thing. I only 'skimmed and scanned'. But it appears from later on in the review that the card sometimes goes over 350W, that is, unless I took it out of context as I didn't actually read it properly (only skimmed/scanned)

    Just wondering

All of the 120mm this or 120mm plus x, y, or z is a bit of guesswork to be honest. What you need is the heat output of the card in question. Once you have that, then you look at available specifications of radiators or AIOs that can dissipate the heat output of the card efficiently (preferably...

    SLI plumbing??

Sorry, but you are incorrect. Having stable CPU temps does not mean "your watercooling system is just fine." Monitoring CPU temps is not a definitive method to determine loop health and efficiency. Having good CPU temps does not equate to a waterloop that is running efficiently. That is why...

    SLI plumbing??

Although I haven't got a ROG board, I'm pretty sure that a 2-pin temp header is pretty much an industry standard across all manufacturers. What I don't know is whether Asus have software that allows you to monitor your deltas from within Windows. Be good if they do. Maybe start a thread on...

    SLI plumbing??

It's actually really easy. Firstly though, here is a link for you to read: Guide to Delta-T in Water Cooling The loop in my sig was only built a couple of months ago. After the leak test and bleed of the system, the first thing I measured was the deltas for the two rad. I immediately knew...

Looking for Feedback on my first Loop

Hi :) Quick disconnects or a mini-valve will work fine. If the drain is from the rad then you will need to flip the case on it's side when draining so the drain port is at the bottom of the loop Yes, the 360 should be fine. Never used a Black Ice rad, but they have a fine rep. And the one...

Attaching 40mm case fan with some kind of sticker?

But like I said, the OP is not cooling with water. So the discussion is totally irrelevant anyhow... ;) And because the OP is cooling with air, I made the following suggestion in my last post: @8009 I used to have a small acrylic case about 10 years ago that looked fantastic but had...

    SLI plumbing??

I wasn't asking about CPU idle, gaming or load temps as they are pretty much irrelevant as long as they are stable and stay well within throttling range. And yours are definitely fine in that regard! (I'm the same btw. Primary goal is low noise. I don't care about the 'bling factor') I was...

Attaching 40mm case fan with some kind of sticker?

The OP isn't using an All-In-One for the CPU, it's a Big Shuriken 2 Rev B. On a separate point, I totally disagree with the suggestion that a radiator for any loop, AIO in this example, should be set to exhaust. You end up negating the point of a waterloop by having warm case air passing...

    SLI plumbing??

Well that's alright then. Squeezing the hoses, tapping the rads gently with a screwdriver near the outlet, resting the case on each side for 30 minutes (but not so pump is upside down) all help too. But the res filled to the brim with one of the plugs released will get most of it out. I like...

Attaching 40mm case fan with some kind of sticker?

I use a roll of industrial strength Velcro for this type of application. Works a treat. I am currently using it with the build in my sig, for mounting of the pump and cable management (plus a few other spots too). It also means things can be removed or re-positioned in a pinch really easily...

    SLI plumbing??

Hi there. Nice build. Just wandering, how long have you had that loop running? Why is there so much air in the res?

Good cooler for corsair spec 01 and mini itx board

Hi, That is 150mm max height yeah? What about the Noctua NH-L12 (You didn't define what 'low cost' is in $$$ or £££, so I'm having to guess what your budget might be!!!)

overclocking and tdp 4790K (TDP too low??)

Hi there :) I'm doing stability tests on my cpu but my TDP is being reported by both Intel XTU and HWinfo as being the mid-50s with my CPU @x47 (4700MHz) during floating point stress tests. I can't work out why it would reporting such a low number. I'm on a custom water-cooled system with a...
