Quick update... the issues appear to be related to the amount of physical memory.. oddly enough I bumped one server up to 24 and "whalla" bigadv ran fine on 24 threads..
sadly though for the time being I can not bump all my servers up past 4GB at the moment due to other production needs...
A quick update.. I didn't get a lot time to work on this stuff today, so it will probably be Monday till I check on the ECC settings for the memory on the R710's.... but, I was able to get the client stable running with 16 threads... nothing above that would work for bigadv... so.. 8 threads are...
