1080i over DVI definitely works. I have it hooked up right now to a Scientific Atlanta HD set top box at 1080i and it looks fine. I am using an HDMI to DVI cable, simply because that's what I happened to have. I assume an HDMI-HDMI cable would work in this set up also. No reason to think why it...
