Fanboys like you, heck fanboys of both sides make me sick...The gtx 560 is not the same price as the 6950....they are both cards but the 560 is a better deal for low resolutions...
That will work fine. I am running a GTX 460, 9500gt, Q8200 and two hard drives on my CX400 PSU. The 9500gt is rated to draw 50w, ~100 less then your card, and you have a 100 more watts on your psu. perfect, also note the ppu will use less power compared to a rendering card.
For that resolution? probably the 6850 2GB... (I hope you don't mean you have a 250W psu!) But if you are planning on anything else other then media playback and games you may want to look into a GTX560.
If you have a spare 8600gt laying around sure, it does decently. My 9500gt (roughly the same thing) handles physX fairly well. High apex is playable in mafia 2 except in HEAVY HEAVY scenarios, then medium works well. But my 460 handles it better by itself, I wouldn't buy anything less then a...
All of you dismissing Q3 as a non-issue due to its age are missing two important points. For one, some people still want to play it and the games that use it's engine, that IS an issue.
The second and most important issue, and the reason I will not touch anything red is the underlying issue...
The TOS at evga aren't that hard to follow, just keep it civil. I am a bit miffed about why my second post got deleted, I just stated I did not intend to troll, I was just upset at the time. But oh well, I will agree with rcranfield, everybody deserves a fresh start :).
The first and foremost thing I look at in a psu is it's brand. I want to be able to have top-notch support because there is always a chance of failure regardless how well made the unit is. The second thing is protection, I don't want my whole machine taken out if my psu decides it has had...
Wow, looks like I picked a great day to join these forums :D
I nice headset is much needed to replace my dead carcharias, these earbuds really really suck.
Well this is quite an interesting question, I think. The rumored [up to] 20% improvement over the GTX 480 has the GTX 580 sitting quite prettily with a ~45% increase over a 5870hd.
I have not seen as many rumors on the 6970, but if it achieves a 50% increase over the 5870 within the same...
BFG 6200OC <- pretty decent upgrade from the integrated graphics I was running with my old p4.
Dell OEM 3450 <- came in a cheap dell; decent improvement from the 6200, but I had nothing but driver issues. I 'upgraded' to a 9500gt 3 days later.
BFG 9500gt <- Threw this into above cheap dell...
